Last week we hosted our 3rd annual Toronto Magento eCommerce Forum alongside Magento, Canada Post, Peer 1 Hosting and Listrak. We’re passionate about bringing the Toronto eCommerce community together for a night of short presentations, networking, cocktails and food. Merchants come to our forums to interact, one-on-one, with some of the biggest and best names in the industry. These events are designed to provide an intimate setting for personal interaction so that attendees can learn about the various resources within the ecosystem of eCommerce and most importantly have their questions answered.
Didn’t attend our forum? Or want to relive the magic? This is the post you’ve been waiting for!
Our CEO and Co-Founder, Matthew Bertulli, started the evening by welcoming all attendees and sponsors to our 3rd annual forum:
“3 years ago Canadian eCommerce didn’t have a pulse. The game has changed. These events are all about community”
Our first sponsor to speak was Kevin Franz from Peer1 Hosting. He gave us a great overview of the world class infrastructure and the core services Peer1 Hosting provides.
Next up – Joe Nicholas from Listrak, took us through the benefits of email marketing integration with Magento, and how it can help merchants acquire more customers, and increase conversions for exciting customers!
Sarah Feit from Magento, gave us a great introduction to the platform, and shared some very interesting facts. For example – did you know that word “Magento” is Googled more than “eCommerce”? Magento is definitely making its mark in the eCommerce game!
Finally, Matt came up again to discuss the importance of the various stages within your eCommerce business, and how it is largely determined by: data, social, mobile, logistics, and infrastructure.
After the presentations ended we reserved the rest of the night for networking. We love the community here in Toronto, and as a growing group of enthusiastic eCommerce professionals, we are big fans of the settings these forums provide to emphasize and encourage interaction and learning.

We’d like to thank everyone who attended. We’re looking forward to our next forum event in Montreal. We’ll be hosting it in September, so stay tuned for details!
