Last Thursday we hosted our annual Montreal Magento eCommerce Forum at the fabulous Le Newtown Restaurant in downtown Montreal. This year our sponsors included Magento, Canada Post, Tenzing, Optimal Payments and SLI Systems. We love bringing the Montreal eCommerce community together for a night where merchants and eCommerce professionals can interact one-on-one with some of the biggest names in the industry. Our forums provide an intimate setting that allows our attendees to learn about the latest resources for their online store and most importantly have their questions answered.
Didn’t get a chance to attend our forum or want to relive the night? Read below for a recap of the event!
Our VP of Strategy, Jamie Schreter began the evening by welcoming all attendees and giving a quick rundown of how the night was going to go. Then we had each of our sponsors take 3-4 minutes to introduce themselves and provide some information on what their company does, and how it fits into the Magento ecosystem.
First up we had Danny Chazonoff from Optimal Payments give us some insight into the payments world, and explain why they are the top Global Payments Solution partner.
Next, Alex Knight from Tenzing spoke on the importance of hosting, and what they can offer to Magento merchants.
After, we had Jeff Neish from SLI Systems stress the importance of on-site search for your online store.
Then Sarah Feit from Magento spoke about why Magento is the platform of choice for merchants who are serious about eCommerce.
Finally we had Aurelien Leftick from Canada Post share some of the biggest news of the evening: the official launch of the Magento-Canada Post Integration! This included the premiere of the Magento-Canada Post Integration video that featured a case study from Ardene and an appearance from Demac Media! Check it out below!
After the round of quick presentations, the rest of the night was dedicated to interaction and networking, along with some adult beverages and delicious appetizers.
A big thank you to all of the merchants who came out to support the eCommerce community, we hope you were able to get your questions answered, meet new people in the industry and have some fun along the way! We look forward to organizing the next Montreal Forum in early 2014! Stay tuned for details!
