I rant a lot about bringing value to your users/customers both on this blog and to the unfortunate few I call friends.  I just saw on Twitter that Karim Kanji was looking to raise awareness for GREENtuity and since I think this is a brilliant idea I figure it does not hurt to help promote it.

There is a nice visual on the GREENtuity site that shows how the service works, but in a nutshell it’s made up of participating merchants that collect a $1 “tip” for GREENtuity at the point of purchase.  This $1 goes towards a greener Toronto, something I think all of us who frequent the GTA should support.

I’m going to be in the city tonight and will make a point to stop by a GREENtuity merchant.  You should too!
